What We Do..
Development surveys to BS5837:2005:
Planners increasingly are insisting that a tree survey is carried out as a condition to planning approval being granted. We can carry out a survey and produce a report in accordance with the British Standard.
Tree safety inspections:
In law a tree owner has a responsibility to ensure that their trees do not pose a risk to people or property.
We can carry out an assessment for one individual tree or for a complete tree stock. With work recommendations and time scales included.
Climbing inspections:
When potential defects can’t be fully inspected from the ground it may be necessary to carry out a climbing inspection to take a closer look.
Internal decay tests:
The amount of decay inside a tree can not always be evaluated from just looking at it. We use specialist equipment to help us “see” what is going on inside the tree:
- Picus: uses sonic technology to produce a picture of the inside of the tree showing decay and cavities.
- Resistograph: measures the resistance of a drill passing through the tree and produces a graph showing the extent of decay
TPO applications and appeals:
We can recommend appropriate works, apply to the local authority and if necessary appeal on your behalf. There is a greater chance of success with professional backing.
High Hedges:
If you have a problem with a high hedge bordering or on your own property, we can make a thorough assessment to establish whether you have a realistic prospect of getting a neighbour's nuisance high hedge reduced in height.
